How Many Layers Of Polyurethane Should I Use When Refinishing My Wood Floors?

There is one very simple answer. When refinishing your hardwood floors it is recommended that you use 3 layers of polyurethane and 1 coat of sealer. The sealer seals up the wood and the 3 layers of polyurethane give you the guaranteed protection. You should also buff after the 1st and 2nd layer if needed.
