Apartment - Upper East Side, NY
This customer was moving into a new apartment and wanted the hardwood floors refinished. The previous tenants had allowed the wood floors to deteriorate into the conditions seen in the photo. The hardwood floors had areas of discoloration due to deeply embedded soils and there were deep scratches throughout the apartment.
This bedroom showed the same conditions seen in the hallway. In addition to having the hardwood floors refinished, our customer also wanted to change their color. In some situations our Specialists recommend sanding a hardwood floor - such was the case for this customer.
Our Specialists are highly trained in the art of sanding a hardwood floor. Using our Sandless Finish Deep Sanding Process all of the damaged layers of wood were removed, leaving our Specialists with a healthy surface to work with. As you can see from the photo, all of the damaged areas and deep scratches were removed with our process. And, with the use of our specialized machinery, our sanding method creates minimal dust!
The next step of the process was staining the hardwood floors. Our Sandless Finish Specialists worked with the customer to create a custom color suited to their tastes. Our Specialists then stained the hardwood floor and applied a high quality sealer to ensure a vibrant color was maintained. Multiple layers of a high quality, commercial grade polyurethane were then applied to ensure maximum protection for the hardwood floor. Our customer absolutely loves their new wood floors and can rest assured that they will maintain their newly refinished look for many years into the future!
