This customer needed the hardwood floor in their bedroom refinished. In this situation a previous contractor had sanded the floor unevenly and used a low quality polyurethane for protection. In such cases the wood floor's condition quickly deteriorates. The results can be seen in this picture - the floor is exposed in areas and dirt and debris has penetrated deeply into the wood, scarring the floor. This customer was moving into an apartment with pre-finished hardwood floors. The wood floor had uneven coloring and scratches throughout it’s surface. Sanding was recommended for this case. Another problem the customer had with the hardwood flooring was the dark color. This was the result of the pigment in the finish of the pre-treated wood. Our Sandless Finish Deep Sanding Process would remove this finish to reveal the natural beauty of the wood beneath.

This is more convenient for our clients and is a much safer and eco-friendlier process than traditional sanding methods. Sometimes we recommend sanding to our customers. This was the case for the hardwood floors in this Astoria apartment's bedroom. A previous contractor had done an uneven sanding job and applied inadequate protection using a lower quality polyurethane. This resulted in the extensive damage on the wood floors as seen in this photo.

This customer wanted the carpet in the dining room removed and the hardwood floors beneath refinished.

 
Removal of the carpet revealed the parquet floor seen in this photo. The usual dirt and debris had made it's way through the carpet and into the hardwood floor, dulling the vibrancy. Even more pressing, however, was the unfinished area where a wall had been taken out by a previous contractor.

 
This photo shows a close-up of the hardwood flooring where a wall was removed. Using a combination of techniques, our Sandless Finish Hardwood Floor Refinishing Specialists would restore the color and vibrancy to this floor and blend in the mismatched areas to produce a seamless finish!

Using our Sandless Finish Hardwood Floor Refinishing Process, our specialists removed all of the dirt and debris from the floor. Special attention was paid to the area of unfinished parquet flooring where an existing wall was removed by a previous contractor. Once the area was completely sanitized our specialists designed a stain using our Custom Sandless Finish Color Blending technique to match the area to the rest of the floor. Finally, multiple layers of a high quality, commercial grade polyurethane was applied to the wood floor, resulting in a vibrant color and shine throughout the room!

Penthouse Apartment - Chelsea, NYC

The owner of this penthouse apartment in Chelsea wanted the hardwood floors in their living room refinished but did not want to remove the expensive area carpet. At Sandless Finish we work to satisfy the needs of our customers. Restoring the flooring around the carpet was not a problem - especially since our process is completely dustless and eco-friendly!
 
 
Normal foot traffic over the years had dulled out the customer's wood floors. This was due to dirt and debris embedding itself into the wood and deteriorating the polyurethane. The paper distributed throughout the room in these photos mark the areas where there was significant discoloration. These spots would need to be blended into the rest of the hardwood floor with our Custom Sandless Finish Color Blending Process.

Using our Sandless Finish Hardwood Floor Refinishing Process our specialists removed all of the dirt and debris from the floor. The areas that were marked for color blending in the previous photos are now integrated seamlessly into the rest of the room. The spots were carefully cleaned by our specialists and a custom stain was created to match the color to the rest of the wood floor.
