Hardwood floor refinishing, NYC

Over time soils became trapped in these hardwood floors. This debris deteriorated the polyurethane and dulled the finish and color of the wood floors.

Another problem these hardwood floors displayed was heavy damage in areas where tape was placed on the wood. If possible, one should always avoid putting tape onto ANY hardwood flooring. The glue of the tape is toxic to the floors and deteriorates the polyurethane. This leaves the hardwood floors unprotected and causes damage and discoloration as seen in the photo.
