Apartment - Upper West Side, NY
Before:
This customer wanted the hardwood floor in their living room refinished. Over the years dirt and debris embedded in the hardwood floor caused the fading of color and dulling of sheen as seen in the photo.
This area showed the same problems as the rest of the living room. Also, a difference in color and sheen is apparent in the middle of the photo, where a carpet was laid down. This discoloration often occurs with carpeting as rugs can retain soils and leave them embedded in the wood floor beneath.
Another issue our customer had was with the gaps between their floorboards. Over time, the filler used by the installing contractor began to crack and disintegrate. This led to the appearance of unsightly gaps as seen in the photo. Luckily for our customer, our Sandless Finish Hardwood Floor Refinishing Specialists are highly trained professionals in every aspect of hardwood flooring and could successfully restore these herringbone wood floors!
After:
With the use of our Sandless Finish Hardwood Floor Refinishing Process our Specialists extracted all of the dirt and debris from these wood floors. The herringbone floor was then completely sanitized and multiple layers of a high quality, commercial-grade polyurethane were applied to the floor. As you can see from the photo, the hardwood floor now has a rich color and consistent shine throughout the room!
The area where a carpet was laid down was also restored using our Sandless Finish Harwood Floor Refinishing Process. The carpeted area was seamlessly blended with the rest of the flooring by our Specialists!
The gaps in the hardwood flooring were filled by our Specialists using only the highest quality materials available to the industry. Hardwood floors naturally expand during the warmer seasons (when there is more moisture in the air) and contract during colder seasons (when the air is dry and moisture is extracted from the wood). The filler utilized by our Specialists is designed to account for this and will expand and contract with the wood to resist cracking!
A final view of the living room shows the vibrant color and consistent shine achieved by our Sandless Finish Hardwood Floor Refinishing Process. With proper maintenance (found here: http://www.sandlessfinish.com/Maintenance_Of_New_Floor.html) these floors will maintain their newly restored look for many years to come - needless to say, our customer was very excited about their new floors!
