Apartment - Upper East Side, NY, NY

Before:
Molding Installation, NYC

This customer wanted the molding in their apartment refinished. Due to an ineffective finish on the molding and years of accumulation of dirt and debris, the moldings were discolored and fading in spots. Our customer did not have to worry - our Sandless Finish Hardwood Floor Refinishing Process is perfect for moldings as well as wood floors!

When molding is installed it is important to be sure that it lies flat with the hardwood flooring. Unfortunately, the contractor who installed the molding years ago did not take this precaution. An unsightly gap was visible between the molding and the hardwood floor boards throughout the apartment.

The biggest problem for our customer was this revealed wiring near the bathroom. Our Sandless Finish Hardwood Floor Refinishing Specialists would have to create a custom molding to fix the situation.

After:
Molding Installation, NY

Our Sandless Finish Hardwood Floor Refinishing Process removed all of the dirt and debris from the existing molding. Once the molding was sanitized, multiple layers of a high quality commercial grade polyurethane were applied to ensure the condition of the wood would no longer deteriorate. The wood's natural color was restored, leaving the molding with a rich, continuous tone throughout the room!

In order to cover the gap left by the previous contractor our Sandless Finish Hardwood Floor Refinishing Specialists put in new quarter round moldings throughout the room. The new moldings were color blended to by our specialists to match with the original molding and the hardwood floor.

Finally, our Sandless Finish Specialists created a custom molding to cover the exposed wires by the customer's bathroom. The new molding was stained and refinished to match the customer's hardwood floor. As you can see from the photo, the unsightly wires were hidden successfully by our custom molding - needless to say our customer was very pleased with the results!
