Residential Home - Yonkers, NY
Before:
The house that these customers bought had hardwood floors with heavy and extensive damage. Areas where the polyurethane was completely dissolved are apparent in the dark and discolored sections of the floor. Scratches were also dug very deeply throughout the wood in this room. In some cases sanding is recommended. Our Sandless Finish Hardwood Floor Refinishing Specialists are highly trained for such occasions.
Another view of the room shows the aging, discolored finish and scratches on the wood floor.
Doorways are always high-traffic areas and more susceptible to damage, especially when the entranceway leads outdoors. Damage from soils brought in from the porch are apparent on the hardwood floor in this photo.
This door leads to the Living Room and is another high traffic area that was heavily damaged. Deep scratches and discoloration can be seen in the wood floor here.
After:
Dust created from sanding a hardwood floor presents various health and environmental hazards. Sandless Finish's sanding process involves the use of specialized, commercial machines to reduce the creation of dust in the air. Because of this, our hardwood floor sanding method represents an eco-friendly alternative to traditional sanding.
Our Sandless Finish Hardwood Floor Refinishing Specialists sanded the floor in multiple passes with varying grades of sandpaper. This deep sanding ensures that the healthy wood is exposed and the smoothest possible surface is attained. The wood floor was then sealed and multiple layers of a high quality, commercial grade polyurethane were applied. Our polyurethanes ensure that the floor is fully protected and has a beautiful, consistent shine. The hardwood floor's original, healthy color was also restored.
This close-up of the entranceway to the deck shows how well our deep sanding process restored the high traffic areas.
The high traffic entrance to the Living Room was also restored and displays the same consistent color and shine as the rest of the wood floor. Our customers were very happy, not only with their newly restored hardwood floors, but also with the eco-friendly manner in which they were refinished. With proper maintenance and care (available on our website at: http://www.sandlessfinish.com/Maintenance_Of_New_Floor.html), these floors will be protected for many years to come!
