Apartment - Upper West Side, NYC
This customer had their hardwood floor refinished by another contractor and was not happy with the results. The contractor did not properly prepare the floor and, as a result, there were hairs, smudges and stains on the surface.
This close up of the hardwood floor shows a smudge in the polyurethane left by the previous contractor. This problem was evident throughout the room.
Despite the previously noted issues with this wood floor, the customer also wanted the lighter, more natural color of the wood to show through. In some instances our Sandless Finish Specialists recommend sanding a hardwood floor. Such was case for this customer.
Our Sandless Finish Deep Sanding Process creates minimal dust while removing all damaged layers of a wood floor. The hardwood floor is then sealed and multiple layers of a high quality, commercial grade polyurethane are applied to achieve the smoothest and most flawless look possible.
As you can see from the photos, the hardwood floor now has a beautiful, natural color and vibrant shine the customer absolutely loves!
