Sometimes our Sandless Finish Hardwood Floor Refinishing Specialists recommend that a floor be sanded. This was the case with this customer's floor. The bedroom floor in their new apartment was refinished improperly the last time it was sanded. Lines from the sanding machine were visible throughout the room and the floor was coated with a low grade polyurethane that dissolved quickly over time. Because of these conditions dirt and debris penetrated the wood floor. The sheen on the floor was diminished as well, leaving the wood floor dull and lifeless.

The damage is apparent in this photo. The disintegrated finish can clearly be seen between the floorboards.

Our deep sanding process removed the damaged layers of the hardwood floor to reveal the healthy wood beneath. 

All of the blackened wood, machine marks, and discoloration were eliminated. After the floor was sealed and multiple layers of a high quality, commercial grade polyurethane were applied the floor is now fully protected and has a consistent, vibrant sheen and color. The customers were very excited about their new floors!
