Residential Home - Upper NY, NYC 2020 What To Know Wood Floor Refinishing Repair.

Tape Damage - Before:
Parquet Floor Repair - NYC

This customer needed their hardwood parquet floors refinished due to mistreatment by the previous tenants. The above image shows a tape mark. Tape should never be placed on hardwood no matter what the grade. The glue from the tape broke down the polyurethane, stripping the floor of it's color and leaving it exposed.

Tape Damage - After:

After the tape residue was removed, the dirt and grime was extracted using our Wood Vitalize process. Using a custom blending process our color specialists were able to stain and blend the mark seamlessly with the rest of the floor.

Color Blending - Before/After Comparison:

In another area of the floor, dirt and grime was embedded in the hardwood which caused severe discoloring and fading. The hardwood parquet squares in the upper part of the image have been cleaned, stained, and blended by our color specialists. The difference between the finished and unfinished wood is readily apparent.

Private Home - Upper Manhattan, NY

Before
Sandless Finish, NYC
Living Room - Front Half - Before

This is another example of the wear and tear that can occur on a floor over time. Dirt and grime have been embedded in the floor, eating away at the polyurethane and causing the wood to lose its lustrous color. Boards had been previously replaced and stand out, becoming an eyesore. The clients came to Sandless Finish looking to have the floors revitalized and the repaired boards blended to match the rest of the floor.

Michelle Rosenfeld Gallery - Upper East Side, NYC

Michelle Rosenfeld Gallery - NYC

Founded in 1970, Michelle Rosenfeld Gallery is a family owned gallery focusing on modern and contemporary Masters of the 20th and 21st centuries. They needed their floors done and they needed them done ASAP. Our Sandless process was exactly what they were looking for!

Before

Hardwood Floor Refinishing

Commercial spaces see more wear and tear than a private space. This leaves them looking dull and more likely to be scratched. There was also a dark stain in the corner that needed to be fixed up - no problem for our color blending specialists!

Hardwood Floor Refinishing

Another example of heavy damage to the floor

Hardwood Floor Refinishing

This angle gives a good idea of just how broken down the polyeurathane was on the floor. When this happens your wood floors are completely exposed with no protection. This allows the dirt and grime to directly penetrate the wood.

After

Hardwood Floor Refinishing

Sandless Finish was able to remove all the grit and grime from the floor and apply a high-grade, commercial polyeurathane. The color and vitality of the wood has returned and the floor is protected again!

Hardwood Floor Refinishing

As you can see, the color blending process was successful. The dark stain was cleaned out and our blending specialists were able to match up the area to the rest of the floor. Now Michelle Rosenfeld Gallery has a beautiful floor from which their clients can view amazing artwork!
