Before:

This client's hardwood floor shows what can happen over time with the misuse of cleaning products. Many common products sold to benefit hardwood floors actually cause destruction to them over time. In this situation, a sticky buildup of oils and cleaning solutions captured dirt and grime over the years. This caused the hardwood floors to have the dark and lusterless appearance as seen in this picture.

Before/After Comparison:

This photo shows the effectiveness of the Sandless Finish process. The panel on the left shows the original condition of the floor. The middle panel shows the floor after the Sandless Finish deep cleaning process - the dirt and grime is removed to reveal the healthy wood beneath. Finally, the right panel shows the floor after a commercial grade polyurethane was applied. The original color and dynamics of the floor were restored and it now has a beautiful shine as well!

This photo is a perfect example of the extreme damage that can happen to a hardwood floor. Dirt and grime were embedded in the wood and dark areas can be seen where liquids were left to sit and deteriorated the polyurethane. There are also mismatched areas where boards were replaced without being properly refinished. The client chose to go with our custom Sandless Finish Staining process to restore her floor and change its color - all with no sanding involved!

After:

The dirt and grime was removed from the floor using our Sandless Finish process. Our color specialists worked along with the client to design a color for her specific taste. The discolored and damaged areas were then blended with the rest of the floor using our custom Sandless Finish Staining process. The client now has a seamless, walnut finish that she is very happy with and which is now fully protected by a commercial grade polyurethane.

Before:

This customer wanted their old carpeting removed from the stairs and the wood beneath refinished. Upon removing the carpeting, these hardwood stairs showed signs of discoloration along with deterioration.

After:

Our specialists restored the stairs using our Sandless Finish process. Subculture: Arts Underground - NoHo NY, NY

Before:

SubCulture is a new venue bringing eclectic yet accessible music and creative arts performances to the vibrant NoHo neighborhood. The previous owners painted the hardwood flooring and left it in general disrepair. Dirt and grime completely covered the floor as can be seen in this photo. The owners came to Sandless Finish for a custom sanding job. Our specialists worked with the designers to develop a distressed look to the floor that would give it the rustic look of a amphitheater floor that would be truly unique.

This picture gives a clear idea of just how bad the condition of the floor was.

After:

This floor required many phases of sanding with special machinery and hand tool techniques in order to achieve the distressed look desired by the customer. A custom staining process was applied to the the floor in order to tie it all together, followed by an application of commercial-grade polyurethane to ensure a high level of protection.

This closeup shows the artistry involved in the process. The finish is designed to have the character of an aged floor, but with the protection that modern techniques and products provide.
